Let's hear from some of our neighbors!

I have been the Sales Director at Academy Hill since February of 2009.  I have also lived here with my beautiful wife and daughter since July of 2011.  Naturally, being so personally invested in this residential development, anything that I might say or represent about our three great neighborhoods
may seem biased toward the positive and idyllic.  However, my appreciation and love for this neighborhood, especially since joining as a fellow Academy Hill resident, is as genuine and authentic as could be.

We live in a busy and time consuming world, but I hope that some of our current Academy Hill Condominium and Single Family home owners might be compelled to take a moment and reply below with a few words about their experiences, living at Academy Hill.

Let me know how you like it here!

Sincerely,

Arthur Haskins

  1. I have lived here since September 2011 in one of the Academy Hill Townhouses on Lilac Circle. From the moment I saw it, I fell in love and really did not want to consider anything else. New construction, upscale amenities and a perfect layout all contributed to my decision to buy at Academy Hill. Arthur was a delight, very knowledgable and informative. The sales process went smoothly.
Since then, I have enjoyed the community and the surroundings. It is so quiet at night and on a clear night you can see so many constellations. Wildlife abounds so even thought you are in a community, you are surrounded by nature. There are also paths in the woods for long hikes. Neighbors are very friendly and work together to help each other and to make this such a welcoming community. It is also a great place for kids and dogs.
If you haven't seen the area, come on up and drive around to experience this great spot in the heart of West Groton. Sandy Gallo

  2. My wife and I moved to Academy Hill in November 2010, shortly after moving to this area from Albany. We enjoy the large lots, the trees the quiet evenings and the great neighbors. Even though our children are adults, we love living in a neighborhood with lots of young families. Whether it is a lemon-aid stand, a pre-Halloween anonymous "Booing", our annual neighborhood cookout, or an opportunity to buy girl scout cookies or boy scout popcorn, there is always something going on that brings neighbors together. It's a close-knit community where it is common to have a long string of emails in which neighbors are watching out for each other. I couldn't be happier with the choice we made of where to live.

  3. The town of Groton has so much to offer with a quality school district, plays/musicals, unique chic restaurants, sporting events, concerts and great annual events like Grotonfest. The Academy Hill neighborhood is an extension of that quality... you are minutes from grocery stores, banks, pharmacies and restaurants but yet your home is surrounded by all the beauty that nature has to offer. Mountain biking, scenic jogs or nature hikes are just out side your door. After an active day you can sit with a glass of red and watch the sunset from your front porch or deck and enjoy the quiet and beauty around you. When our family was searching for a location to build our home we had a long list of requirements and Academy Hill had them all. It was only until we moved into our new home that we discovered how much more we have. Academy Hill is a unique neighborhood. I have never lived in a neighborhood comprised of such a diverse group of individuals from around the country but yet you would think we all have known each other forever. We support each other, we celebrate each others accomplishments, we share recipes, play dates for the kids and enjoy many neighborhood activities including an annual block party and our Halloween gatherings followed by treating for kids of all ages (and parents). As for the quality of the construction, we have lived here since July 2010 and have zero complaints. Our contractor was professional and easy to work with. The duration of the construction was right on time and the pricing was spot on. We love our home and continue to receive endless compliments from anyone who stops by.

  4. I first came to Groton in 2009, when my son played in a hockey tournament at Lawrence Academy. I fell in love with this quintessential New England town, and would look forward to returning yearly. When it came time to relocate, there was no question on where I would settle, Groton was my first choice. It has that small town feel, yet all the amenities. I had only begun my house hunting adventure when I came to Academy Hills and knew this was the place I would live. I have never regretted that decision.

  5. My wife and I moved to Academy Hill in 2014. Our experience from Sales to the completion of our home was very smooth and we absolutely love our new home. The neighborhood is diverse and has a real New England charm. We were looking for a new construction and a quiet neighborhood and Academy Hill definitely fit the bill. Although my wife and I do not have kids yet, we were attracted to the quality school district as well as the private school opportunities in the area. If we had to do this all over again we would surely choose Groton and Academy Hill. Please feel free to stop by.

  6. It has been almost a year since we moved into Magnolia Lane in Academy Hills, and I want you to know Arthur that we absolutely love our new home and thank you for the time and trouble you took in helping us get everything set up to our liking. There were the usual few small niggling "punch list" items at first but I was very impressed by the Developer's responses with the jobs done quickly and well. The three things that make this a great place to live are the quality of the home, really our top priority, the beautiful QUIET neighborhood, and also the great neighbors. Nobody intrudes but it is so nice to live somewhere where we come back from a vacation to find a cake and welcome home note on our doorstep. We strongly recommend Academy Hills as a place to live.

  7. We purchased the expanded Stirling condo showhouse from Arthur in September 2012, moving to Groton from Westford. The whole purchase process with Arthur and Habitech was painless and quick (from offer to close was less than 8 weeks - we had luck selling our old house in that as well). Like with any new house there are always small things but all of them were dealt with promptly by the developer. We also have no complaints with the current condo management company, Alpine Management, they are quick to respond and address any requests. We've helped Arthur out a few times by letting him show our condo to prospective buyers (a few of whom have become ours neighbors). We are very pleased with our choice in purchasing our condo, from the build quality of the home and the modern layout, to the quiet neighborhood and friendly neighbors. We would recommend anyone to move in to Academy Hills.
