Let's hear from some of our residents!

Hello,

My name is Arthur Haskins, and I am the Sales Director for Academy Hill, the fastest growing, new-construction community in Groton, Massachusetts.  I have created this page because I wanted to provide a forum where Academy Hill residents can openly discuss and share experiences, living within the Academy Hill Groton community.  I hope that this will also serve as a place where we can discuss community news and events, too!  Let's kick off this site by posting some comments about your experiences buying and living at Academy Hill.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,

Arthur Haskins

  1. We moved to Groton for that small town feeling. As a bonus, we found a neighborhood that is the idyllic setting of an old fashioned neighborhood I used to live in. Love it! -Wendy 2 1/2 year resident

  2. Hello,

My family and I (husband and 2 children, 7 and almost 2) decided to build a house with Habitech in Academy Hill of Groton about 3.5 years ago. It was the best decision we ever made. From our initial meeting with Arthur until now (residents in our new home for 2.5 years), we have had a wonderful experience and have never turned back. We were one of the first few houses to be built and it's been an amazing experience seeing the progress this neighborhood and wonderful community has made in the last 2.5 years! Our home is perfect for us. Do glitches happen along the way?! Yes, of course they do. As they would with any building process, with any company, in any state. BUT...all glitches have been handled professionally and to our satisfaction. From the top-down, we have been treated with respect and never felt alone in the process. Our house is beautiful, the neighborhood is growing rapidly, and we have a fabulous group and community feel! From neighborhood block parties, to ladies nights, to impromptu neighbor gatherings, to morning boot camp exercise class, we’ve all gotten to know each other well and it’s been a great sense of community and a great place for our children to grow. We are excited for what else is to come as the neighborhood continues to grow! If you are considering building a home in Academy Hill, we highly recommend it! Our one piece of advice is: stay involved throughout the process … this is a huge investment … communication with the team and respect for the team is key and you will end up with the house and sense of community you’re looking for!

Thank you to everyone involved, it’s been a pleasure and we couldn’t be happier!

    Best Wishes,

  3. Thank you Habitech Homes!

My wife and I have been living in this community now for just over two years and couldn't be happier! West Groton is a fantastic place to raise a family; we just had our first born 9 months ago and can't wait for some future block parties to take place. The school systems are top rated and Nashua is a mere 20 min drive away "tax free” :)! Future shopping expansions are in development in the Littleton area and the overall value of our home has already increased despite the economic downturn. Prior to building we had hoped for something within the 128 belt; but after looking into what value you get for your money here in Groton we decided to build our dream home. What a great decision, working with Habitech Homes overall has been easy, the onsite contractors and Habitech Staff are most pleasurable and we have actually built some friendships with these folks. Streets are now paved and plantings will be going in in short order. Few homes remain on our street and the builder has opened up the remaining phases. You would never know that the real estate market is slow here at Academy Hill!
